O A large FR (front-engine, rear-drive) sports car that produces 280 hp with its 3-liter turbo engine. Although it comes with 15" tires, it is well-balanced thanks to the use of limited slip differentials (LSD). Turbo cars have not been experiencing much progress over the years, while at the same time NA cars have matured nicely and increased in power, with the latest models reaching 200 hp. O This is a mid-engine sports car noted for its natural feeling unique to NA (normally aspirated) cars. With all these modifications, it is almost a completely different engine than what the car originally started with. Head torque, cam angle, and lift have been increased, and they function as a single unit that rotates at high RPM. The engine has increased turbine and injector capacity, and the fuel metering system has been modified to support this. Due to its 245 hp engine, it comes with trick inverted shocks, 15" tires, and a reinforced chassis. O This is a mid-engine sports car that combines power with good handling and light weight. However, its lightweight, compact FR (front-engine, rear-drive) design makes this a great car to work on. Compared to the latest models, it has an inferior shape, poor handling and weak engine. However, since this model comes with 13" tires and is rather heavy due to its luxury options, the 3-door model has a better chassis. It's a coupe version of the AE86T and has somewhat superior body rigidity. O This car is still very popular among street racers. It's a coupe version of the AE86L and has somewhat superior chassis rigidity. This model comes standard with 14" 60 series tires, and its suspension is adequately tuned. The car's aerodynamics and top speed suffer somewhat when its headlights are up. O This car has retractable headlights and differs from the AE86L only in appearance. Compared to the latest models, it has an inferior shape, chassis, poor handling and a weak engine. It differs from the AE86T only in appearance. In Japan, Famitsu gave it a score of 34 out of 40.The cars in Tokyo Xtreme Racer 2, including playable cars, unplayable cars and traffic vehicles. The game was met with mixed to positive reception upon release, as GameRankings gave it a score of 81%, while Metacritic gave it 79 out of 100. The extra cars are obviously not a glitch as they have their own unique descriptions and attributes but there seems to be no knowledge of how to acquire or even encounter any of these cars without the Gameshark code. There is one more hidden car that is shown as it is supposed to look, the 100MV. Interestingly enough, the license plate displays the "GTO" logo that Mitsubishi used for the car in real life, even though the normally obtainable cars are not licensed in the game. The majority of them look like Mitsubishi GTOs (American and European sold Mitsubishi GTOs are called 3000GTs) that appear to float above the ground for no given reason although the description for each car suggests that many are not at all Mitsubishi GTOs and in some cases not even any kind of Mitsubishi car. Using the Gameshark code which enables all cars to be available for purchase from the start of the game causes extra cars to become available that so far have not been found through any other method and there appears to be very little information online about these hidden cars. The game was released in Japan and some parts of North America. The response to this game was poor and was a limited release. The game takes place after the events of previous games.
